Description

Ludgate House is a high-quality development whose design references an existing corrugated ‘Dutch’ barn building it replaced. This agricultural building was converted into a contemporary home, whose stand-out feature is the barrelled zinc roof. The building also features timber cladding and soffits positioned on the first floor. Central to the overall design is the floor-to-ceiling curved zinc roof, with standing seam that emulates the corrugated rhythm of the previous barn’s external skin. Richardson Roofing carried out Installation of all Zinc and linetherm substrate.
There were many special bespoke non-standard zinc details to satisfy client requirements. Richardson Roofing created the barrelled roof on site, demonstrating excellent detailing on all the elements to deliver a standing seam.

Due to the highly intricate and skilled design features that were executed by an impressive site team The National Federation of Roofing contractors awarded Richardson Roofing the 2019: Roof of the Year and Winner of the Fully Supported Metal category for our brilliant work at Ludgate House. This is certainly no small feat to win either of these awards let alone two in the same year for the same project.
